John Jenks is the head of business development for Apogee Design. From a young age, John was active in the community, volunteering for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Service Over Self, and multiple youth groups. John attended White Station High School in Memphis, TN, where he played four varsity sports while working part time. After earning degrees in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he combined his knowledge from managerial positions at work, leadership positions at school and in the community, and personal business interests to start Apogee Design.

Since founding Apogee Design in 2011, John has served in many roles within the company. John’s primary responsibilities within the company currently include sales, marketing, and business administration. John works with the customers throughout all stages of the business relationship including pre-sales, development, launch, and support.

John’s professional aspirations include creating and assisting with the creation of start-ups. Apogee Design has been very fortunate to work with many friends’ and other local start-ups along the way, and these projects were typically the most rewarding. John’s goal is to continue to produce ideas for products and services that improve his community’s quality of life.
